My Little Picasso

Ai Ai has been drawing on our walls. This is her first art piece.
Whenever she walks past the wall and sees it, she goes "Oh" guiltily.
So we got her some Crayola paints to unleash her creativity.

Hippo and Monkey Faces

This is the monkey face that Roy taught her.

Hippo Face - this is really useful when PD needs to check her throat!

My Supermodel Babe

Doctor Lee says Ai Ai is underweight, so now we have to find a way to fatten her up.
Her height is OK though.

Caught in Action!

Do you spot any similarities?

Tutu for Ai Ai

Ai Ai loves dancing now that she is hooked on Hi5, so I made this tutu for her.

Flamenco-styled skirt

Inpired by the flamenco dancers in Seville.
A little big for her at the waist... but it matches well with her shoes!

Another Tiered Skirt

I love these peasant-styled skirts!

Three-tiered Skirt

I made this tiered skirt sometime in March - got the instructions from here.

Doesn't she look preppy in this outfit?

Curtains!

Ai Ai's room was still bright even with the blackout Roman blinds, maybe because of the corners of the rectangular bay windows.
So I made these additional curtains for her room, which makes the room pitchdark even during the day.
Mum helped me choose the colours and gave me some basic instructions on how to sew them.
I laid out the materials with the patterns matched, but in my excitement, forgot to leave allowance for the seams, so after I cut them where the pattern matched and had them sewn, my ladybirds were decapitated!

My Couch Potato

My first successful pair of trousers - bootlegged khakis with ribbon trimmings.

Homemade Sling

I made this sling for Roy for our Penang trip in April'08.
It's similar to the Lucky Baby one I have, but in a larger size.
He picked this fabric at Spotlight, but I thought it'll make me look like an Indonesian helper :P
He could only sling Ai Ai in a sitting position whereas I could sling her in a cradle position, which was really useful when we were out shopping in Penang and she wanted to nap.

My First Boo Boo

My first pair of trousers for Ai Ai.
I didn't use a pattern but attempted to draw the pattern myself.
Turns out that it cannot be pulled up past her thighs!

My First Creation

A dress for Ai Ai's first birthday earlier this February.
OK, you can see that it's a little big :)
It's supposed to be a sleeveless dress but it looks more capped-sleeved.
I used a pattern from Simplicity - followed the pattern for "Small", but it's still too big for petite Ai Ai.
Her Bunny, an originally naked one she got from her Daddy as a birthday present, gets a similar dress too.
Ah well, like Mum said, she can wear it till 4 years old then!
